Annular Solar Eclipse on 2005 Oct. 3rd

We arrived at 12.30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2nd with Iberia at Valencia Airport. Then we got a shock: Our checked-in luggage, which included our tripods and mounts, had not arrived at the airport yet. They promised us that it will come later that day. On Sunday afternoon, we went to the airport again and got a second shock: Our luggage was there, but the suitcases were damaged and later it turned out that my modified Philips webcam, that I itended to use for an eclipse video, was broken!

With our rented car we explored the Spanish landscape 100 km apart from the coast, since clouds seem to concentrate near the coastline. We found a nice small village called "Los Isidros" near Requena, which was very close to the central path.
After exploring a place with lots of garbage, we found a vineyard near the major road N322 that was behind a small forest and therefore garanteed undisturbed observation of the eclipse.

In the morning of the eclipse day there were still clouds in the east, but long before first contact they disappeared.
